Parents should make their kids wear helmets

I say that parents should make their kids wear helmets when they are skateboarding, biking, skiing, and while doing any activities that could potentially harm their head.
One reason, I think parents should make their kids wear helmets is that helmets protect you and your head. If you fall you can cut your head on a rock. It would not kill you but it will hurt your life. You can avoid that by wearing a helmet. A concussion would injure the way you live. By just taking the 5 seconds it takes to put the helmet on, you are giving yourself that extra protection. A helmet protects you that is the first reason I think that parents should make their kids wear helmets.
Next why parents agree for not using helmets is because they listen to there bad excuses. Think this is wrong. One reason people do not make there kids wear helmets is that they are too expensive. That is wrong because at Target they are around $20. Another reason that parents do not make their kids wear helmets is that they cause headaches. If you crash into a tree your head is going to hurt worse, and if you get a good helmet there will be no such thing as a headache. Lastly, people say it makes them run into things. It is their fault that they run into things. Those are some things parents listen to. It is wrong that the parents listen to their kid’s lies.
The last reason I say that parents should make their kids wear a helmet is that people die because they do not wear helemets. On the website, www.wikianswers.com says that 36 people have died on an ATV because they did not wear a helmet. Also, 630 bicyclists died on USA roads is also stated on www.helmets.org. That number could be reduced if more people wore helmets. Helmets are lifesavers.
